Who We Are
Farmstead United benevolent activities includes such activities as providing to those individuals who may be in need of clothes through a “Clothes Closet”, or of Food through a “Food Pantry”, education, basic financial assistance, “Soup Kitchen” events such as “Operation Thanksgiving” to meet the needs of individuals in Jasper, Alabama and around the world.
Farmstead United is a recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a section 501(C)(3) public charity organization. Gifts to Farmstead United are tax deductible in the U.S.A.
Who We Help
Farmstead United supports the benevolence activities of Farmstead Baptist Church. Where Farmstead Baptist Church offers a year round Food Pantry, Clothes Closet and financial assistance to those who are struggling to maintain their utilities such as power and light.
Our Projects
Farmstead United supports projects such as Glory Fellowships “Operation Thanksgiving” which takes place every year downtown Jasper, Alabama at the Jasper Civic Center. Operation Thanksgiving provides free meals and clothes to those who may otherwise not have an opportunity to have one on Thanksgiving Day. Last year over 1,600 meals were served. A huge clothes closet was made available for people in the community to come by and have their clothing needs met. Meals are not only made available to those who can come and participate but meals were also delivered throughout the surrounding communities to those who had no means to come and be a part of the collaborative community action where many churches in the community come together and help prepare meals for those that need them.
